Darcy Simonson was born with a crayon in her hand and a whisper in her ear. Although she has dabbled in many careers, including talk radio host, creative director at a children's museum, advertising executive, editor, and professional artist, she finds her ultimate passion and purpose lies in marrying art, poetry, and spirit. An award winning artist in a variety of mediums, she believes she is at her best when her hands are directly involved in the creative process. Using her fingers and soft pastel, she merges inspiration with the medium, and allows her own essence to flow while creating each unique EssenceSketch.
In addition to EssenceSketches, Darcy is co-owner of the inspirational business, The Grateful Goddess. Through the business, Darcy and her business partner, Sheila Sornsin, offer workshops and inspirational speaking engagements.
